Social Stories
Many people are directed to goodfountain because they are searching for social stories. I have only written a one social story, but I will post it here. As I write new ones, I will share them.
Writing social stories can be challenging if you’ve never done one before.
Social Story – Getting your hair cut
The first social story I wrote and used for Chee is about getting her hair cut. Getting Chee’s hair cut has not been an easy task. About two months after first reading her the story, we successfully managed a trip to the Kids Salon for a haircut!
Social Story – Going to the Dentist (short version)
Chee has a dentist appointment in a few weeks. Her first. I’m taking a 2-pronged social story approach. One is an actual story that talks about the importance of taking care of our teeth and going to the dentist. The 2nd is a shorter version that is hanging on the wall.
